I could not decide between the Polaris and the Neptune…the main difference is that the Neptune comes with a turbo brush and the parquet twister. I just received it today & have been anticipating it’s arrival since I ordered it on Saturday…I am crazy in love. I have never owned a vacuum that has setting controls…I cleaned the velvet drapes in room on the lowest setting, works like a charm. I vacuumed all the window sills, door & window moldings, 1731 sq ft of wood floor, bathroom tile & vacuumed the stucco walls in the kitchen. Oh by the way the maids were just here yesterday…I did not care. The house looked perfect but now I know it’s perfect.

I vacuumed while my daughter was napping…I could have never done that w/the upright Kenmore I’m retiring. I’m so happy with this purchase. I will update this review in 6 months (writing reminder in my Franklin). Yes, yes love is in the air. XXOXOO

Wow, I had a very hard time spending this much money for a Vacuum. It was worth every penny. I have vacuumed every surface it my house twice! Save money someplace else. When you look at how long you have a vacuum then this is money well spent. It moves easy, is super light, the tools give you an option for every surface. The normal floor tool rotates in a way that lets you get into tiny spots under furniture. It is so quiet. Love love love the retractable cord. I wish all appliances had that feature. Oh and it’s pretty. I am sold on Miele.

Did a lot of research on several models, mostly avoiding Miele due to the high cost. Amazon has a great price and of course good service and return policy, but I went with All Vacuum Depot in Irvine, CA for this Neptune model because they gave me a great deal and 3 extra warranty years on top of Miele’s already excellent coverage. Sean and Jason could not have been more helpful.

This is my first automobile GPS, and I did a lot of research before settling on the Garmin 780. I live in the Washington DC Metro area, so all of the extra features work here. Upon its arrival, I downloaded and installed the latest Garmin WebUpdater v.2.41 and then updated my 780 from software version 2.50 to 2.90. I also updated the Bluetooth and other firmware, along with the languages that I use. This all worked flawlessly in a Windows XP virtual machine on a Linux host. FWIW, the 780 will charge off of the supplied USB cable.

The 780 acquired the necessary satellites in just a few minutes when first activated, and does so in less than a minute for subsequent activations. I found the screen brightness to be fine for both day and night. I’m using the 780 with the Garmin Portable Friction Mount. Smashing windows and stealing GPS devices is the sport of choice in the DC Metro area, so I wanted no evidence of a GPS extant when I left the car. The friction mount works perfectly on my Honda Accord dashboard and stores easily in the center console, leaving no trace of a GPS behind. Very cool. The 780 easily fits in a shirt pocket, so it’s not necessary to leave it in the car.

I tested the 780 immediately by driving during rush hour to a residence across the river in a tangle of park roads off of the beaten track, then returning at night. The Garmin had no trouble creating a very fast route to the destination that bypassed most of the heavy traffic during rush hour. On my return, I bypassed a turn on its preferred routing. It recalculated a new route in less than a second which was the exact right answer. The new route wasn’t a recapture of the original route, which wasn’t possible from that location, but an entirely new route. The routes it picked were appropriate for the times of day traveled, which can be a daunting task here if you don’t know which roads go which direction during the appropriate rush hour. DC is a notoriously difficult area to navigate, but so far the Garmin seems up to the challenge.

I found the volume of the internal speaker to be more than adequate even with the radio, air conditioning, and windshield wipers going. Voice notifications led upcoming turns by an adequate amount, and the voice prompts always helped me get into the correct lanes in plenty of time for upcoming turns. During a particularly tricky section where several major roads converge on a bridge, then diverge on the other side, the Garmin gave almost constant appropriate guidance to ensure that I took the correct forks and turns. I was quite impressed.

The Bluetooth paired quickly with my Motorola Razr V3. It even provided its PIN code at the appropriate time. The phone functions work great and it’s easy to hear over the 780 speaker. The party on the other side of the phone said that I sounded like I was in a tunnel, which is typical for remote devices for autos. I have another BT hands-free device and it garnered the same comments. The Garmin’s on-screen phone cues make hands-free easy.

Activation of the MSN Direct service was simple over the Net. On initial activation of your free 3 month trial, they offer a 6-month extension for $9.95 which gets you to 9 months of service total for less than $10–a very good deal. MSN Direct information took a while to load the initial information, but then it said that in the Quick Start pamphlet. Once loaded, the traffic, weather, and news worked great. Gas prices were behind by several days, which is an eternity these days. My favorite (and cheapest) station wasn’t listed.

Overall, I’m very happy with the 780. I’ll be working it out heavily in the coming weeks, including on a road trip to another city with MSN Direct service. I can’t believe that I waited this long to take the plunge to a GPS device for my car. Even though I’m a master with maps, the Garmin suggested a clever routing that I did not previously discover on my own. From what I’ve seen so far, the 780 will be a highly valued addition to my road warrior kit bag. I can recommend the 780 without reservation.

I purchased a Sony NAVU-83T, a Garmin 680, and a Garmin 780 to compare their features and routing capability. I kept the 780 and returned the others, but it was a very difficult decision.

The Sony unit [...] at Costco, and has a 4.8″ screen (1/2″ larger!). It has one of the best user interfaces on the market, primarily due to a few things: 1) you can always get back to the map by pressing one button, regardless of where you are, 2) you can always get to the main menu by pressing one button, regardless of where you are in the menus, 3) it has a split screen function that gives you lane guidance visually so that you know which lane to get into, well before the turn, 4) it has shortcuts, for instance to GO HOME you make a V shape on the screen and it takes you home…no menu navigation required!

On the down side, the Sony took FOREVER to calculate or re-calculate routes, and in many cases I missed the newly recalculated turn because it took too long to figure it out. It also took longer routes than the Garmin, would avoid commonly used roads for no apparent reason, and would not take me down roads that were shown on the map and clearly the shortest route. Last of all, the Sony took forever to gain a satellite fix once turned on. And the Sony mount was soooo very cool and useful! For $249 you got the cool mount and a nice carrying case. I did not get a chance to use the TMC traffic service.

The Garmin 680 ($349 at Costco) was a fine device, with very fast and accurate routing. It found points of interest quickly and accurately (the Sony often could not find them). However, I really liked the thin size of the 780 and the fact that the antennae was built in, so I kept the 780 in spite of the extra cost.

What do I like about the 780 (and the 680):

1. The MSN Direct is VERY handy and I use it every day for weather, news, fuel costs, and movie listings.

2. Very fast route calculations.

3. I have never looked for a POI that was not present.

4. The tour routes that you can download (for about $12 each) are cool. You can take car tours of a few hours that are laid out for you, telling you where to visit along the route.

5. The ability to sort points along a route is handy. If you have 10 places to go in one day, enter them all in and it puts them in the most efficient order.

6. It can find rest areas on interstates. The Sony could NOT do this, which is annoying when you are trying to figure out if you should stop at a gas station or wait for a rest area when you have three kids in the car on long trip.

What would I change on the 780? Many things, and most of them would cost Garmin no money to implement. These are simple fixes that they should consider!

Bad Points of the Garmin 780:

1. If I go into the menu system, I can go 7 or 8 layers deep to get to what I want to do. To get back to the map, I have to keep pushing the “BACK” button, up to 8 times in a row, to get back to the map. Stupid!

2. If I go into a menu item and decide I’m done, but don’t want to push “BACK” over and over, the unit stays on the menu or submenu screen forever.

3. It would seem that on a unit this expensive it could give you lane guidance. The Sony does. The Tom Tom does. Why can’t this unit, at almost double the cost?

4. When you turn off the car the unit asks if it should stay on or turn off. If you don’t answer, it turns off in 30 seconds. For people who are making deliveries, or running errands, this is a real pain. It would be nice to allow you to configure this once to set how long it should wait before turning the unit off (options like 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, for instance). This would allow you to run into Kinkos and back out again without having to wait for the unit to turn back on, get a satellite bearing, and then finally get to its map to tell you where to go next. Simple software change!

5. It would be nice to have the unit start up on the same screen where you left off. If you were on the map screen, then it should return to the map screen. If on the weather screen, then return to the weather. I like to keep it on the weather, but I have to hit about 6 different buttons every time I turn the unit on to get to the weather! Simple software change!

6. Most GPS units even at half this cost allow you to SEE your speed, direction, and target’s relative direction while on the main map screen. This unit requires you to go to a dashboard screen to show you this information….so you have to choose the map or the dashboard to view. Since some people may not like this feature, it could be configurable. Simple software change!

7. I can’t seem to figure out how to show the satellite signals/connectivity. ALL units have this, even though it is just for fun.

8. For $500 the Garmin should include a carry case for the unit. They sell it small size, light weight, and its “ability to know where you were when you take it out of the cradle, to help you find your car later”, and yet don’t give you way to carry it around safely. Just about every unit on the market, starting at the $149 units, include a case!

9. The 780 does NOT include an owners manual. You have to go online to view the manual, at garmin.com. Garmin may be surprised to know that not everyone has the internet (50% of homes don’t). Although not perfect, the Sony included a fairly comprehensive start up guide and a CD based owners manual.

10. The display looks like a cartoon movie, and that causes a lack of detail. The Sony displayed a very concise map where you could actually identify road splits, acceleration lanes, etc.

11. There is no ability to show POIs on the map. You can route to one, but you can’t just show them. The Sony allowed you to pick which POIs to show, and it actually showed you little BP, Shell, Cracker Barrel, etc. logos on the map so that you could know well ahead of time which POIs were near you.

12. Many units tell you how far to your next turn AND the direction you will be turning in. The Garmin tells you how far to the next turn, but it does not tell you which way to turn until you get within about 2/10 of a mile. So on most multi-lane roads I find myself staying in the middle lane as I get close so that I can go either way. It should warn you which way you will be turning at least a few miles in advance! As soon as you get onto any road the Sony tells you that your next turn is “LEFT 123 MILES”, and it is always displayed on the main map. Handy. Simple software change!

I like the unit, but I only give it 3 stars because of its price, its lack of common sense features, and lack of “in the box” support. It’s strong points are fast, accurate routing and MSN direct.

I did a lot of research before I changed from my old Garmin c340. I think I made an excellent choice, this GPS has everything and more. I was new to traffic so I first tried the TomTom 920T which I didn’t like because of how innacurate the maps were so then I turned to Garmin and I was happy again, with the addition of news, stocks and events for the MSN direct 2 version is great. I read the news once in a while is just a plain summary of what is happening not much with no pictures or anything but hey at least it gives you something else on the GPS to do. I find the mp3 functionality great the sound is loud enough just don’t put it all the way to 100% volume because you’ll hear static. The FM transmitter is one of the best I found on a GPS and the picture feature is great I even put it in my room as an LCD screen for pictures hehehe. This GPS gives you all the directions you need pretty accurate, MSN traffic needs to improve on this, its usually delayed most of the time it tells me traffic is there but then I find no traffic why? I don’t know but I can say that is probably 80% right on other traffic updates. I really like this product and I am more than happy with this item, it is now a lot cheaper than what I bought it for which was $700, so do yourself a favor if you want an accurate, nice looking, fast GPS signal, great feature GPS get this one, I recommend it.

I just bought this projector for watching movie and playing games.

I wanted a HD projector under 1000$

here’s my review:

Pros:

-Colors are great and accurate. Skin tones looks natural.

-Contrast is very good.

-I’m seeing details in the dark areas.

-Almost silent projector. (fan is very quiet even in Bright mode).

-The image is really bright (1600 lumens)

-Image looks uniform (a bit of noise in the black levels but you can barely see it).

-All the inputs that you need (1 HDMI, 1 Component, 1VGA, 1Svideo, 1,Composite).

Cons:

-The back light in the remote control is way to bright. It burn my eyes every time I’m using it. (not really helpful when you are trying to adjust the colors and contrast.

-No saturation control when using HDMI input.

-Zoom is really small ( you really need to know exactly how far from the screen to put it because you don’t have that much room).

Other thoughts:

I would recommend using a gray matte surface screen if you’re watching movies. I’m currently having a gray matte screen (elite silver max 16:9). However if you want to play games get matte white surface screen, its brighter.

Also I heard some peoples complaining about rainbow effect, but I haven’t seen any.

Conclusion: If you are looking for a good 720P projector for watching movie and playing games its definitely a good projector to consider. The picture is great.

For under 1000$ you can’t really go wrong.

I’m giving 5 stars because it does what I wanted with a good quality.

Sim

I am not an expert but I was set on buying the HD70 based on all the rave reviews and then read that Optoma had superseded it with the HD65 (1600 lumens) and the HD71 (2400 lumens) and the HD70 was nolonger in production. I went for the HD65 as I was after a great home theatre projector at an affordable price (and the HD71 wasn’t as easily availble yet). I have not been disappointed and can’t tell the difference with the high priced Sony and Infocus units I use for work. All the features of the HD70 (including the near silent fan) and almost twice the lumens for a couple of hundred bucks extra and the unit is surprisingly small and light. Setting it up was a doddle and soon realised that any image quality problems were associated with the DVD quality rather than the projector capabilty. With this neat unit I am now tempted to move to HDMI cabling (if I can find a half decent HDMI multizone DVD player) and a proper screen. Currently I run the video leads through the projector and the sound leads through my surround sound system. Getting the extra lumens helps for day use at kids parties, but the HD71 maybe even more worthwhile if you can afford it. Why wouldn’t you get the latest model with the speed this technology sector is changing?

I researched projectors for some time. If I had not seen this projector in use at someone else’s home, I would have paid a considerable amount more for one of the more popular projectors. I am totally surprized that this projector is not more widely known. The picture quality is fantastic. It has both horizontal and vertical shift with v-keystone adjustments (features that are often omitted by reviewers). I almost purchased a LCD projector because of my less than 8 feet ceiling clearance. I had no problems with the ceiling mount using 106″ screen.

I paid $880.00 at Amazon.com. I think a very good price for a projector of this quality at this time. I could of given this product 5 stars. I am sure there is room for improvement, I just have not found any yet.

The Beltronics GX65 is the best radar detector that I have ever owned. I have had many over the years including the Valentine V1. Although this is a good detector, the GX65 gives me more warning on the signals that matter as well as not having to worry about listening to it go off for the wrong reason (You tell it what you want to not listen to). The other thing that is great about this detector is the pre-warning it gives when you are approaching a red-light camera. It tells you exactly where these are before it is too late.

Very well built, you can immediately tell you are not buying a product that skimps on material. The GX65 also comes with a very well written owners manual that is easy to understand.

Recommend very highly!!

I’ve driven with the GX65 for several months now and it is without a doubt my favorite dectector and I’ve owned many! The GPS feature allows me to lock out annoying false alerts, plus the built-in database is preloaded with all the red light and speed camera locations popping up everywhere. These annoying camera locations alert in plenty of time to check things out in advance. $29.95 extra for the 3 year update subscription, which I haven’t purchased as yet. Once I’ve marked all the false alerts on my drive to work, the GX65 is quiet and alerts to just true police radar. I’ve never driven with such a quiet detector. The unit comes with a very nice case and “Smart” power cord that works like a miniture control panel right on the dash. Highly reccommended!

First the detector - I recently bought from another retailer (see ’second’ point below). It is tremendous. Great functionality, options, design, gives good warning, the GPS tells you your speed when an alert goes off (so you only have to look at the detector to know what you’re dealing with and how fast you’re going). I primarily bought for the red light camera detection, but it turns out there are none in my area (when I traveled out of state, I found quite a bit), but if you don’t have many of the red light cameras in your area, you may want to save a few bucks and get the RX65 (also from Bell). It will save you a couple hundred bucks and (except for the GPS), it’s the same detector.

Second - I was looking to buy this detector and it was $469 everywhere. About 2-3 months ago, Amazon changed the price to $429 but said they didn’t have any in stock so they’d ship later. I put it in my cart. The price then dropped another $5 over the next few days, but I got caught up and didn’t finish the order. I went in a few days later and it was over $470. I wrote customer service who told me what the policy was but never answered the question about how something that’s not in stock can have a price change almost daily. Anyway, I didn’t order it. A few weeks later they moved the price to $425, so I ordered it. A week or two after that, they said that they wouldn’t be able to get it and they cancelled my order and took it down off the site for about 2 or 3 weeks. Now I see it’s back. It makes me wonder why my order was cancelled a few short weeks ago.

If you want my 2 cents, it’s selling for the same price on the Beltronics site (also with free shipping). Pick it up there and order a couple of accessories (visor clip, extra suction cups for another car, a USB plug which you’ll need to update the database, etc.) You’ll get more stuff (that you need anyway) bundled in with your free shipping.

I’ve owned a few of those smaller sets and while helpful, I never seemed to have the size I needed. Ended up drilling a hole too big or too small and having to enlarge it. With this set, I always have the size I need, all the way up to 4-3/4″. There’s a good chance that I will never use several sizes in the set, but I know that if I need it, it’s there.

The hole saws are very sharp and stay sharp, compared to others I’ve owned from Bosch, Dewalt, Lenox and Ace Hardware. It comes with extra pilot bits which is a plus. Also, really like the plastic case, everything fits well and stays in place.

I would definitely but this set again, but have a feeling I won’t have to. I’ll just replace dull hole saws as necessary.

I ordered this kit due to needing a couple different sized hole saw cutters to put in some dead bolts. I had purchased Milwaukee cutters prior to this but just purchased the individual cutter for the job at hand. I did decide to buy the 28 piece kit because I liked the idea of having all my cutters in 1 easy container to carry to a job and believe this kit will contain every cutter I will ever need. It does. It has every cutter size I needed and probably ever will need. The container is well built and appealing. I didn’t know how the drive system to the cutters had changed since I purchased my last individual cutter. The new system has threads in the base of the cutter with 2 pins that are threaded into the cutter from the drive shaft that holds the drill bit. This is the best system I’ve seen. I also believe these cutters will take many cuts through metal or wood before beginning to dull. Its a lot of money but its probably the last hole saw kit you will ever need unless you use them daily. I’m very satisfied with this kit.

I needed a 4 3/4″ hole saw for a floor outlet box. I needed a 2 1/8″ hole saw for a lockset. Found both sizes and many more in this collection.

Both times that I have used these saws, I was impressed.

For the money, I did not find a better selection of sizes.

Both large and small chucks are included and the case organizes things wonderfully.

I don’t believe that anyone with a need for multiple sizes would be disappointed in this set.

I want to add a dose of realism to the many positive reviews here. We’ve had this cookware set for about 5 months. It comes packaged very nicely, seems well made and looks very good. And there’s the rub. Unlike a lot of stainless cookware, these are very shiny. If you like that, you’ll be satisfied, but you should bear in mind that the finish is fragile. It’s easy to scratch and easy to discolor. We use the steamer every day and on one occasion I accidentally boiled it dry. I took the pot off the heat very quickly, but the result was a faint gold tint on the outside that cannot be removed. I don’t really mind the color change, but it worries me.

I’ve used the frying pan a couple of times to make eggs and here again the shine isn’t necessarily a good thing. Butter actually beads up on the surface as it melts and you have to use an awful lot if you want it to cover the bottom of the pan.

The instructions warn you many times not to use steel wool for cleaning. So far, we’ve been okay with a plastic scrubber pad, and, especially after a soaking, things clean up easily. But the fact that I’ve been warned not to use the most obvious cleaning method is worrisome.

Pot handles do indeed stay cool. The lids, however, can get very hot. Also, the edges of the lids face up and out. This is common now, but my older pans had lids that that were turned into the pan. The outward-facing design guarantees that condensation will form on the underside of the lids, and will drip pretty badly when you first remove them from a boiling pot. One good feature of the lid handles is that you can hang them on a pot rack.

Finally, the steamer has several extra ridges around the bottom and vegetables inevitably stick to those areas. Again, a soaking is necessary to get them clean.

All in all, a useful, sturdy set, well made, and a good value — but with the caveat that the shine might not be what you want.

I purchased this set a year ago. I already had the 12 inch skillet, the 5 qt. saute pan and a 2 qt. saucepan, which I LOVE and use on a regular basis. I expected this set to be the same quality as these other Chef’s Classic pans that I had purchased individually, but the pans in this set just don’t measure up.

The first thing I noticed is that these pans are lighter weight. The 3 qt. saucepan from this set is much lighter than the 2 qt. saucepan I already had. This would be okay, except that food tends to stick more easily to the 3 qt. I think the botton of the pans in this set must be thinner than my other Chef’s Classic. Also, these pan do spot more- I use Barkeepers Friend for all my Cuisinart, but I find the pans in this set discolor every time I use them, which is annoying.

My biggest beef is with the pasta insert. I chose this particular set because it included the pasta insert, but the pan is not just useless - it is a menace. The holes are way to small, and the water drains out very slowly. The first time I used it, boiling water flooded over the top and splashed over the stove and onto the floor when I lifted the insert out of the pot. I’ve tried using less water, lifting the pasta insert slowly, etc. and it still splashes whenever I use it. Today I purchased a Faberware 8 qt. pasta insert- it has much larger holes and when I tried it tonight I couldn’t make it splash even when I practically jerked it out of the pot.

Compared to other cookware the quality of this set is decent, but my other Chef’s Classic is so much better quality that this set mostly sits in the cabinet. If you want to buy a set, go with the 10 or 12 piece set. You’ll save some money and you can use it to buy a pasta pot you can actually use.

I am no chef but I do love to cook, and I purchased this set for myself after moving cross-country and giving away an old set of Farberware stainless. I have been using these for the last month and a half and I couldn’t be more pleased. I absolutely love them!

They heat evenly and the handles do, indeed, stay cool. The pots clean up beautifully. There has been some minor discoloration on the frying pans but that’s to be expected, I think, given their purpose. But the saucepans and stockpot come out of the dishwasher looking as pristine as when I took them out of the box! They are SO pretty… Lastly, these pots and pans are not too heavy, which was sa concern for me. I’d tried out other pots and pans (like the Emerilware) at department stores and found them extremely heavy to lift; the Cuisinart Chef’s Classic are the perfect weight for me.

You do have to be careful about keeping the heat lower, though, or things do burn. The other thing I’ve found is that, while the handles on the pots and pans stay cool, the handles on the lids do not…just be careful when lifting the lids!

Although I think it’d be nice if the 14-piece set included a 2-quart saucepan too, but otherwise it comes with everything you need to cook a big or small meal. There are smaller sets, though, for those who aren’t ready to take the plunge.

I heartily recommend this set.

I didn’t buy the soleus mac12K at amazon but rather from a retail outlet here in southern CA. After being disappointed with an earlier purchase that I made online, I decided to go into a brick and mortar store and ask the relevent questions.

I was told by the salesman that the reason that the previous air conditioner doesn’t work was becuase of the single hose exhuast. The soleus, with it’s dual hose design and 12000 btu of cooling power would make my 170 sq ft room freeze. That turned out to be an outright lie.

I started out by testing the air conditioner in the living room with a sliding door. The unit worked well for the first few minutes, cooling the room from about 90 to 87 degrees. Then the compressor would stop running and the cooling mode acted like fan mode and started heating the room back to over 90 degrees. I would be able to get the compressor to work again by unplugging the ac plug and then starting the ac again. The same problem repeated.

Then I moved the air conditioner into the kitchen. It was about 95 degrees to begin with and it only got to 92 and did not drop even after an hour. There were no problems here with the compressor turning off for no reason.

Then I moved the air condtioner into the bedroom. It was able to cool the room down only a few degrees. Besides being loud, it also takes up a lot of current, 12A to be exact and 1350W of power. This would repeatedly trip up the circuit breaker if other appliances such as iron or computers were to be used that were on the same circuit.

The air conditioner appeared to work better when the outside temperature was below 80 degrees. But even then, it does not cool the room below 72. But with the outside temperature in the mid to upper 90s, the room would be in the mid to upper 80s. About the only thing that worked as advertised was that there was no bucket to empty.

I ended up returning the unit after a week with a 25% restocking fee. I was offered an exchange but didnt’ even bother.

What a huge disappointment. We live on the east coast where the humidity can get ugly and these units simply cannot handle it. Once the internal drip pan is full the compressor shuts off and it goes into “self-evaporative” mode which the manufacturer says should take only 15 minutes but i much more than that in high humidity. This continues so often in high humidity that the subsequent cooling is hardly effective. There is no tank to empty (like in a dehumidifier) and the drain port is flush with the bottom of the unit so the only thing onto which you can manually drain it is a cookie sheet. It took MUCH complaining to both the Manufacturer (Soleus) and SELLER (COMPACT APPLIANCE - an online outfit in TEXAS–AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) to get any help. The manufacturer finally sent us a condensation pump (to be applied externally) as part of the warranty. Nice of them but they didn’t tell us (refused to acknowledge is more like it) that because the drain is flush with the floor and is a gravity flow system, you need to then ELEVATE the unit to higher than the external pump to get the water to drain into it. I now have the units up on 2 huge pieces of styrofoam. It is very attractive as you can easily imagine….NOT. Anyway…I cannot figure out what the advantage is in having these units. This all because I wanted to avoid a window unit. I am planning to sell these for cheap to someone who wants to use them in a garage or somewhere else that has a drain in the floor. What a waste.

We attempted to use this unit to cool a small computer room.(10×10x8 insulated)Without any cooling the room would get to about 85 degrees. With the unit set to 68 degrees the best it can do is take the temp down to 77 degrees. Some may say we are expecting too much from this unit but I owned a 12,000 btu window unit for my home and I can tell you this unit does not put out any where near the same amount of cold air. I can guarantee my old window unit would keep this little room cool(cold). From what I have read it appears all of these portable units are way overated for their BTU’s. I would estimate the output as being 50% of what they are advertising. The two duct design is a great idea but the exhaust duct creates a tremendous amount of radiant heat to the point of being counter-productive to the cool air being produced.

I purchased the Westin Nerf Bars for my son as a Christmas gift. Price, quality and ease of installation fully met my expectations.

I just got the bars installed, only complaint is unclear/poor instructions.

Bars look great, mounted easily, and were very well packaged.

I was looking elsewhere at them, right before buying from the other site I used Google’s shopping tool to search for prices, and found Amazon. No one else could beat Amazon’s price.

Why, you say, should I spend this insane amount of money for a blender? My answer: Because it’s worth it. There is simply no comparison to other blenders. The Vitamix is the best. It really does crush ice effectively, make ice cream in seconds from frozen fruit and cream, and produces drinks and sauces that are utterly smooth, plus soups to die for. I make my own hummus and used it for baby food regularly, guests love it for silky frozen drinks, and it lasts–with zero problems. It’s a quality device. Advertising is geared to health food because you can make drinks or soups from fresh produce and take advantage of the natural fiber that juicers take out, and they’re right, but that’s not why I bought it. I bought it because I hate the odd chunky bits of fruit in my smoothies, I hate taking blenders apart for cleaning and I wanted something I could depend on to do what I wanted each and every time. I’ve not been disappointed.

This is the Mack Truck of countertop kitchen appliances. Ideal for making blended ice drinks, smoothies and vegetable purees for soup. We first noticed this mighty machine being used in a major coffee chain, then in fast food places, and finally at most restaurant bars. We were delighted to learn that the very same commercial kitchen equipment is now available for home kitchen use.

It comes with an astounding amount of great recipes in a cookbook as heavy as the machine itself. Surprised to learn that it is possible to make soup in this machine without cooking. Just the intense friction caused by fast-moving blades chopping and grinding vegetable ingredients heats soup to serving temperature as fast as heating in a microwave.

The Vita-Mix is more than a blender, it is a professional kitchen food prep machine that is endorsed by chef instructors at the Culinary Institute of America.

We have also used this amazing American-made machine to puree our own baby food, because we trust locally grown produce more than what comes pre-processed in grocery store jars of baby food.

This is a lifetime investment in great equipment.

This Vita-Mix blender is amazing. Well made, extremely versatile and quite large… this machine means business. The included dvd and recipe book are top notch and include many recipes to showcase the machines abilities. Beware, this machine is very powerful… start on low and then “rev” it up to high speed as the instructions indicate. I’ve created Jamba Juice quality smoothies and Sbucks quality frappuccino’s for houseguests and they are always impressed. Worth every penny.

My nephew is thrilled with his new Steelers uniform!!

Fast shipping and great communication.

The uniform set that I purchased came promptly and was exactly what we expected. Actually even better as the shipment came so fast that my son didn’t have a “minute” to ask, where is my costume mommy? I would definately purchase from this seller again.

Very pleased with both product and customer service.

Regards,

Lisa

We have 2 sets, one for each son. They love wearing the helmets to pretend to play football with daddy. Very durable.
